Amritsar (National Times): In yet another decisive strike under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Police’s Counter Intelligence (CI) unit in Amritsar has successfully dismantled a cross-border arms smuggling module. The police apprehended one operative working under the directions of a Pakistan-based smuggler and recovered five pistols — 2 (9MM), 2 (.30 bore), and 1 (.32 bore). The accused was intercepted while transporting the consignment after retrieving it near the Indo-Pak border.
