Chandigarh, 23 December 2025: The Punjab Animal Husbandry Department has culminated the current year on a high note, capping achievements in crisis management and sectoral advancement with a historic operation to safeguard the state's livestock during the unprecedented floods. Punjab Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Minister S. National Times Bureau :- Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav disclosed that Punjab Police ANTF Punjab (Border Range), in coordination with BSF, has recovered a quantity of suspected heroin weighing approximately 12.050 Kg near Village Dalleke, PS Lopoke, following inputs about drone movement. The SIT will be led by  Jagatpreet Singh. National Times Bureau :- A fire broke out at Sindhi Sweets located in Chandigarh's Sector 17 late Saturday night, causing extensive damage to edible items, electrical equipment and other goods inside the shop. Fortunately no casualties were reported.  Several fire tenders and Sector 17 police personnel rushed to the spot and began firefighting operations. The entire area was cordoned off as a precaution. The blaze was first noticed by the watchman who then informed the fire tenders.
