Chandigarh: The devastating floods in Punjab have claimed at least 51 lives, with authorities confirming that more than 22,000 stranded residents have been evacuated from marooned areas across the state. Fresh fatalities were reported from Amritsar and Rupnagar districts, while officials noted five more deaths after the release of the last update.
