Mumbai| The Reserve Bank of India (RBI), in its December review meeting, opted to maintain the status quo for the fifth consecutive time by unanimously deciding to keep the policy repo rate unchanged at 6.5 percent. The decision was attributed to the declining inflation, as stated by RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das during the policy statement deliberation.
