Chandigarh, June 2, 2025 — Continuing its relentless crackdown on drug trafficking under the “Yudh Nashian Virudh” campaign, the Punjab Police on Monday arrested 98 drug smugglers across the state. The coordinated operation led to the recovery of 1.5 kilograms of heroin, 2,508 intoxicant pills, and ₹3,900 in drug money.With these arrests, the total number of drug smugglers apprehended since the campaign’s launch 93 days ago has reached 15,117.The state-wide operation was conducted across all 28 police districts under the direction of Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav.
